Hello everyone, it’s that time of year again and we are looking for volunteers for the Shops at Don Mills toy drive event you have all come to love. We have teamed up with Cadillac Fairview again and together with our media partner, Global, hope to put on a great event for both us as firefighters and the public to join us and donate toys.
We will have our firefighters out collecting toys from the public. There will be on-site entertainment and vendors from the shops as well. This is a great family event and I encourage each of you to bring your family out to help, enjoy the event, and help us make our 2024 Toy Drive season a great one.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with toy collection on the night of the event. The event is scheduled on Thursday, December 12th, from 4-7 pm, at CF Shops at Don Mills: 1090 Don Mills Rd. The event takes place in the Town Square, which is at the corner of Marie Labatte Rd./ Clock Tower Rd. At the end of the night, we will load our vehicles with the items collected and bring them back to our warehouse for sorting and distribution. Operations members can decide to wear fatigues/cold weather clothing or bunker gear, dress for the weather! Support division members can wear issued fatigues and cold-weather clothing.
As in past years, we can’t do this without your help. If you are available to attend, please RSVP to gberenz@torontofirefighters.org; this will secure your toque, and I know how much everyone is looking forward to getting one.
