Subject: Toy Drive Update-Volunteers Needed
Hello again everyone, I am very happy to report that the Shops at Don Mills event that so many of you have asked about is back on this year, after a 2-year hiatus. We have teamed up with Cadillac Fairview again and together with our media partner, Global, hope to put on a great event for both us as firefighters and the public to join us and donate toys.
We will have our firefighters out in bunker gear/fatigues collecting toys from the public. There will be on-site entertainment and vendors from the shops as well. This is a great family event and I encourage each of you to bring your family out to help, enjoy the event, and help us make our 2022 Toy Drive season a great one.
We are looking for volunteers to assist with toy collection on the night of the event. The event is scheduled on Thursday, December 15th, from 4-7 pm. At the end of the night, we will load our vehicles with the items collected and bring them back to our warehouse for sorting and distribution.
As in past years, we can’t do this without your help. If you are available to attend, please RSVP to gberenz@torontofirefighters.org; this will secure your toque, and I know how much everyone is looking forward to getting one.
We hope to see many of you there, and we are so glad this event is back on!
