Remembering our Fallen – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3rd
This Sunday, October 3rd we would have traditionally gathered at the Queens Park Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial to honour the fallen whose names would be forever etched on the memorial. Sadly this year, we will be adding 49 names to our memorial walls. Though we are all disappointed that we are unable to hold our traditional ceremony this year, we know this is the safest and best path during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While we won’t be acknowledging this solemn day in person, we can still be together in solidarity by honouring our fallen with a moment of silence at 1:00 pm this Sunday, October 3rd, and paying them tribute on social media.
Attached is a list of the fallen, grouped by Local, as well as some images you can use in your posts on social media. Please use the hashtag #OPFFA2021Fallen. Sample tweets/posts are provided below:

The fallen firefighters from the 2020 and 2021 years will be properly memorialized in 2022.
