Larry Knapp – Seniority #213
It is with much sadness we advise of Larry’s passing. Larry started with the Scarborough Fire Department in March 1962 and retired as a District Chief in December 1993 with 31 years of service.
Our sincerest condolences go out to his wife Merrilee, his sons, and his family.
Larry Knapp – 1941 ~ 2023
It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Knapp, on April 25, 2023, at the age of 81. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Merrilee and sons Larry (Sue) and Tim (Sondra). Grandchildren Jessica, Lars, and Alexa brought Larry his greatest joy! He was immensely proud of each of them and their accomplishments. Larry was a retired District Fire Chief of the Scarborough Fire Department (#213). Beyond a Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and Cousin he will also be remembered as a curler, hockey, and baseball coach, friend, and co-worker. He led by example that hard work was essential to success. His final years were hampered by mobility issues but he was always quietly supporting Family and Friends. There will be no funeral services.
