Gregory Kenneth Brown (May 11, 1953 – December 16, 2023)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Greg. Greg is survived by his cherished wife Janet, son Geoff (Brittney), daughter, Amanda (Adam), brother Mitch (Mary), and sister Lesley (Bob). Greg was a devoted Papa to his four grandchildren, Lennon, Jane, Jesse, and Maverick. His influence will remain strong in all of them. Greg will be remembered dearly by his extended family and large community of friends.
Greg truly appreciated what friends and family mean. He opened his eyes to the world, was well-traveled, well-read, and readily engaged with everyone from all walks of life. Those who knew Greg enjoyed his wit, culinary skills, intellect, and thoughts on current events.
He was a mentor to many who had the pleasure of knowing him. A lifelong sports enthusiast, Greg enjoyed playing and watching many sports and was a true fan of the Toronto Argonauts.
Greg faced recent health struggles with strength and courage that were truly admirable as he continued to live life to the fullest. Greg touched everyone he met and the loss of him will be felt for a very long time to come.
A special thank you to Dr. Sandra Palinka, Dr. Diego Delgado, and the team at Toronto General Hospital for all of their advice and support over the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to TTR Amyloidosis Canada https://madhattr.ca/support-hac/ OR The University Health Network Foundation https://uhnfoundation.ca/
A celebration of life for Greg will be held later in the new year.
