Funeral Information for Active Member Firefighter Christopher Love

April 30, 1988 – April 12, 2026
In Memoriam – Brother Christopher Love
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
It is with profound sadness that the Toronto Professional Fire Fighters Association announces the passing of our Brother, Firefighter Christopher Love, who died on April 12, 2026, at the age of 37.
Christopher joined Toronto Fire Services on August 6, 2013, and served with pride and professionalism throughout his career at Stations 235, 234, 323, and 325. He was a firefighter in every sense of the word, steady, committed, and deeply respected by those who worked alongside him. He understood the weight of the job and carried it without hesitation, answering the call each time with courage and quiet resolve.
He embodied the core values of Toronto Fire Services: Courage, Compassion, and Service. Courage when it mattered most, compassion for people on their worst days, and a commitment to service that extended beyond the job into his life with family, friends, and community. These were not just words to Christopher; they were the standard he lived by.
This profession is built on Brotherhood and Sisterhood, on standing together when it matters most, without hesitation and without question. Christopher lived those values every day. He was one of us, part of the fire service family and his loss is not contained to one hall or one crew; it is felt across every station, every shift, and by all who had the honour to stand beside him.
Christopher was the beloved son of retired Toronto Fire Services Captain Paul Love and Irene Love, and the cherished brother of Victoria (Adam). He was the devoted companion of Sabrina MacIntyre. He is also remembered with pride by his uncles Vince Love, Toronto Fire Services Firefighter, Steven Love (Beverly), retired Toronto Fire Services District Chief, and George Iliopoulos (Debbie), along with his cousins Kaylyn, Reghan, Peter, and George Jr. His life was surrounded by service, and he carried that legacy forward with honour.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 8088 Yonge Street, Thornhill, Ontario.
A funeral service will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Bayview Glen Church, 300 Steeles Avenue East, Thornhill, Ontario.
Christopher will be remembered for his strength of character, his dedication to the job, and the bond he shared with those around him. His watch has ended far too soon, but his legacy will endure in the work we carry forward and in the standard he set for all of us.
Rest in Peace, Brother Love.
