Charles Joseph Dusome
March 26, 1938 – November 24, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Charles (Chuck)
Dusome, on the morning of Sunday, November 24th, at Georgian Bay General Hospital.
Chuck thoroughly enjoyed 86 years of life and will be remembered as a kind, gentle, and positive man with a great sense of humor and a strong faith in God.
His life was filled with enthusiasm for adventure, both near and far, with family and friends. He loved boating on Georgian Bay and was a true outdoorsman, spending many years as a hunter and angler, during which he made lifelong friends and cherished memories. His strong work ethic and unwavering determination shaped his career, allowing him to serve as a Scarborough firefighter for seventeen years, become a successful entrepreneur with multiple businesses and pursue his passion as a realtor until his retirement. He always felt blessed for such a wonderful life!
Loving Father of three children, together with Shirley Dusome; Kim (Paul) Hartley, Kevin Dusome, and Joan Dusome.
Beloved spouse of Kathryn Fairbrother. Caring stepfather to Leigh Fairbrother, and Alison (John) DesRochers.
Cherished Poppa of eight grandchildren; Joel (Lindsey), Ryan (Samantha), Jessica (Ben), Vanessa, Brandin-Lee (Sarah), Natalie (Jessey), Reid, and Blythe. As well as six great-grandchildren; Alex, Brooklyn, Jaxon, Emmett, Reginald, and Theo. Dear brother to Edna (Al) Beatty. Treasured by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, close friends, and his loyal #1 four-legged furry companion, Charlie Jr.
Predeceased by his parents Norman and Delima Dusome, and his siblings; Phillip, Margaret, Clem, Herbie, George, Rita, and Wilfred.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at GBGH, Care Partners, and the LOFT, for their exceptional care and compassion for Chuck.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Ann’s
Parish, 28 Robert St. West, Penetanguishene. A reception and luncheon will follow at the
